Oh, Lord, I’m staying
Still and wretched
In a huge garden
I can’t even see
Where it ends
There are so many things
Here,
Like black boxes, for instance
Oh, like my soul.
Tigers come by and wonder
Why there are no colors near me
They’re sad and lonely and they go away
And I say
No, stay
They often do what I say
